I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
